Time Management

For the rest of the day at work, I will focus on working on the matters of highest priority. That is, Brian Tracy’s “Focal Point” approach. If I do this often enough, it should eventually become a habit.

For lack of a better term.

Starting a new blog category. Focus on good general habits and skills I want to cultivate, that help me in many other areas of my life.

And the first area I want to work on is to be become a MASTER in the art and science of time management.

Went home earlier than usual and spent some quality time reading with the two kids.

Halfway, the 4-year-old said, “Daddy, I’m happy that you’re here tonight.”

Mastery

  • “Attain skillful mastery of whatever interests them. Excited by knowledge: often become expert in some field. Innovative and inventive, producing extremely valuable, original works. Highly independent, idiosyncratic, and whimsical.

Mastery. That’s such a key word for me. It even shows in my ID – “Grandmaster”.

Where I am

I think I’m most often around Level 3 or Level 4. Level 6 is about as bad as I’ve ever been, in a long time. I’d love to grow such that I’m constantly around Levels 1-3. First let’s work towards regularly being at Level 3.
