Personal Time Management

August 2, 2006

For my non-work TM system, I have decided to use a Google calendar plus a notebook and this blog. The Google calendar has the advantage of being accessible from home as well as from the office.

Discussion Blog

August 2, 2006

I’m taking a break from the Discussion Blog. To recharge creative juices and see what new ideas I can come up with to take it to a new phase. Stuff I wanna do:

(a) remove the useless posts

(b) plug that charity event

(c) use more pictures, and eye-catching ones

(d) change the writing style – something more creative and personal.

June/July Summary

August 2, 2006

Summary of positive developments since mid-June, when I started this blog:

1. I developed and have been using a highly effective time management system at work.

2. I’ve been doing some interesting things with the Little Boy, in the area of art.

3. I went to UBS for an interview. I declined to take it further, but at least I’ve gotten to know a new contact person.

4. The Discussion Blog achieved a new readership high.

5. I established my investment portfolio plan.

6. I cleared up my workspace and it’s staying clean so far.

Hmmm, that works out to be an average of one positive development per week.

The End of the Heppell Project

August 2, 2006

Suddenly I realise what it’s all about. It’s about applying the Pareto Principle all the time. At any point in time, you keep identifying what’s most important, what’s most essential, what’s most critical, what’s the biggest problem, what gives the greatest benefits, what’s the best solution, and you focus fully on it.

And that ultimately brings you back to the Power of Now.
