I have spent some time today working out my personal calendar on Google. It’s quite an awesome system that I’ve worked out. I daresay if I stick to this, I’d be a pretty impressive person by the end of this year.
The calendar shows things I schedule to do each day of the week, but of course I need to be reasonably flexible about this. I would also do things not mentioned in the calendar, depending on the circumstances.
By activity, I have scheduled myself as follows:
Running: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday every week.
Meditation: Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday every week.
Finances: Checking up on investment news every Monday, and reviewing portfolio in depth at the end of every quarter.
Kids: Doing something every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday, and what I’ve scheduled falls under the following broad categories – Science & Math; Music & Movement; Reading Time; Flashcards & Chinese Language; Creative Art; and Outdoor Play.
Special Time with Wife: 2nd Sunday of each month.
Home Improvement Day: 1st Sunday of each month.
Poetry: Friday and Saturday.
Some of the above are scheduled to run until end of October; some to the end of the year; some go on indefinitely. I will review the overall schedule from time to time and adjust appropriately.
